#17: Misc celebrities, movies (35)  
I'm horrid, I know. This is why you never, EVER pay attention to what I put above the icons. Below, yes. Above, no.

This is just a mishmash post, the icons that I should post so they'll quit mocking me. A few of the 'A' celebrities and a variety of movie icons that I started, intending to make enough for a full post but never quite became interested in again. Eventually, definitely. LJ needs more While You Were Sleeping icons. If you're not interested in Christmas, never start making icons of a Christmas movie. That's just stupid.

Also, inspiration for some of these came from a variety of people, one I remember is pixation. There's possibly other people in there, but I can't remember. The CSI are insanely old, which is why they look so...unlike the others.

Either way, icons 1-15 are 'A' people (Alan Tudyk, Angie Harmon, Amber Benson, Adam Baldwin), and 16-35 are other (X-Men, While You Were Sleeping, Harry Potter, CSI).

32 is definitely awesome. And true. LOL, Grissom's face looks just funny, as if he's contemplating the whole thing about the nth time (and finally it clicked and they lived happily ever after... well, probably not).

Hee, thank you! I do love that scene, and it's such a pretty scene, with Sara's gorgeous curly hair and pretty clothes. (I don't understand the green/pink top, but it looks awesome on her.)

Grissom's face is just him repressing the urge to spank her. How else would she ever learn to quit calling him out in front of people? It makes perfect sense to me, at least. *whistles*

There really does. She's just so cute and young when it's curled. Over the course of the show, it feels like she's aged decades over just a few years. She went from wearing bright colors and having curly hair, to now having layers and dressing in dark colors, like she went from her early 20s to early 40s. Of course, given Sara/Jorja's age, it's more like late 20s to mid/late 30s, but she did look years younger when the show started out. I do like her latest look, don't get me wrong, but I miss the younger look.

Also, I'm glad my demented/perverted mind amuses somebody. *g*

Ok, I've finally got the time to leave you a good comment!

I LOVE the new style you have going here... I love the grey kinda scratchy look. I don't know any of those actors (is that sad?) but they're all so pretty! I wish I knew who they were so I could use them ;p

Love the faded look in 6, love the colors in 12, 19 is just so simple and amazing, 20 is really cool - i just love that circle thing (still can't figure out how to do that well), 32 is just so cute and SO TRUE... I also like the way you don't realy use the whole icon (like 18, 26, 33) ... They're all so pretty :D

I'm snagging 19 for IMMEDIATE use! And perhaps some of the HP and CSI ones, I just can't decide yet!

*laughs* That 'omg!' Cate icon of yours about kills me everytime I see it. She seems so very classy and upscale that seeing her let loose in photoshoots and not care how she looks is awesome and amazing.

I don't know if it's a style so much as me going "No friggin' idea what to do now... *uses texture* Eh, that'll work." *g* I almost went through and listed where most of the people were from and what they did, but then decided that would just be showing off my completely useless knowledge of celebrities. *g* But the two you should know, are Adam Baldwin and Alan Tudyk, both from Firefly/Serenity. You'd probably recognize Alan more though, as he's done quite a bit of acting in some reasonably high-profile movies.

I'm squeeing over your entire comment, because I do love them, but I have to admit to majorly loving 19 myself and being beyond ecstatic that you like it, too. *g* And IMMEDIATE use! Ohhhh, I feel so honored. *bounces*

Lovely work, as usual. I'm not a particular fan of the grey, scratchy look (just personal preference) but you pull it off quite well. I love the lighting technique you used on 13, and the circle trick on 20 (I love that effect and have no idea how to use it myself). And 19 is pretty nifty too.

Taking 21, because you know I love the Rogan.

Truth be told, I'm normally not a fan of the gray/scratchy look either. *laughs* Seeing so many people use it made me start wondering if I could pull it off, so...that's what happened. *hides* I'm glad I did it well though, and now hopefully I'll get over using it and will get back to whatever my old style was.

There do need to be more Rogan icons. It's been a while since I watched X1 and X2, so glancing through the screencaps I was awestruck at how pretty the movies were, and just how pretty Hugh and Anna are, both seperately and together.

Oh! And while I'm thinking of it, nastey makes very pretty X-Men movie and cast icons. You do kinda have to wade through the journal, but there's several icons of Hugh and Anna together (as themselves), but then a few of Logan and Marie. Very worth looking into.

I've made some Rogue/Rogan icons, but haven't posted them. The caps I was working with suck hardcore, so it was a bit difficult coming up with ways to make a good icon out of a bad cap. However, I've made it my goal to crank out 100 Rogue and Rogan icons in the near future, so hopefully that'll happen soon.

And I've checked out nastey's journal before. Definitely some good finds there, I agree.

Yeah...I've noticed that about the caps, too. Either they're too bright, too small, so dark to the point where several screen layers don't even help...really, really good X-Men caps seem hard to find. And even if you do find them, odds are the person isn't a Rogan fan and therefore didn't really spend any amount of time on those two.

If there's any particular caps you're wanting though, let me know and I'll cap them for you. I only have access to 1 and 2, but considering the lack of shared screentime in 3, that might not matter. *g* I have plenty of time as well, so...*shrugs* It's up to you. Just let me know whenever, there's no expiration date on the offer. :)

But, major SQUEE on the 100 Rogue/Rogan icons, seriously. The character/pairing needs more love.

Someone had REALLY good Rogan caps... I think it was verbalthing, but the uploads were expired. :( I asked for a re-upload, but nothing yet.

If you want to and have the time, I would love just general caps of Rogue and Rogan scenes. But there's nothing specific I'm looking for at the moment. I think, after I go through the caps I have, I'll have a better idea of what I'm missing. Thanks for the offer, too, that's very sweet of you. :)

Oh, and, if you're into reading fanfic and fanfic-like things (and I'm not usually in the habit of pimping myself) but a friend and I are doing a Rogan one-on-one at fromundermyskin. If you want to read it. If you're really bored. *coughs and sidles away*

Ah, yes. Or there are the 'really good caps with expired links'. Those are always the best ones.

General caps I can do. Although I can tell you right off the bat, I have a tendency to over-cap. I can easily get over 1000 caps of a 45 minute CSI episode, so capping my favorite characters from a favorite movie...very bad news. *g* So, if it's all right with you, I'll cap like I normally would? This way, you wouldn't have to go through and figure out what's missing, and it'd save me from having to re-cap. And honestly, I don't know if I could do 'general'. *g*

What kind of caps are you specifically looking for? Like, just caps from the scenes they share, or would you also wants caps of them seperate? Or, if you'd like, I could just do the scenes of them together now, and then after you check, cap the seperate scenes, ie. when Wolvie's roaming the mansion shirtless, or Rogue's at the bus station.

I'm just hoping the caps are useful. I'm not a bad capper, the aspect-ratio's good and nothing's pixellated, but my monitor is a bit off when it comes to coloring. (I think. I'm not really sure.) So, with that in mind, you'll want to wait and check the caps out before doing any thanking. *g*

Ohhhh, fanfic. I will definitely check that place out later, because the quick peek really interests me. And icon! *slightly freaks-out* Ahem.

Are you saying over-capping is a bad thing? Come on. Going through some caps, I would find two or three of an entire Rogan scene, cue despair. Over-cap away, my dear, cap as you wish. You know best.

Shared scenes are great, and I'm also looking just for good Rogue caps I can use in my quest to fulfill the 100-mark. I totally trust you and your judgement, and wouldn't want to inconvenience you, so just do what you want and I'm sure it'll be great. Colors can always be tweaked, after all. :)

- Ugh, I DESPISE people who only cap the scenes/people they like. By all means, if there's several sets of caps of the entire thing already, feel free to focus on one person/scene. But when every single set of X-Men caps ignore Rogan? Then there's a problem. They don't have to pay more attention to it than necessary, but they could at least admit that yeah, people do ship them and would like caps of the scenes they share.

I think when you're making icons, feel free to icon whatever you damn well please. Nobody's forcing you to icon a character or a ship you don't like. But in caps, be fair, because caps are for everyone's use and it's not cool to skip scenes just because you don't like them. Fair caps for everyone!

Ooh, you capped the screentest, didn't you? Is that the extra? I'm excited, I hadn't seen the DVD so I don't know about any of the extras. I should probably watch them sometime. Are there gag reels? Every DVD should have a gag reel. There should be a law or something because those just make my day.

- Exactly! Icons and caps are on entirely separate levels, and just because you can't get icons of somebody at one place, doesn't mean they don't exist anywhere. But caps? Pretty much everybody can icon, or at least crop; not everybody can take screencaps.

- Heh, uh...not exactly. The 'extras' folder was basically me being stupid with capping. *g* I capped, noticed I missed some interesting caps, but instead of deleting and re-capping just for those few caps, I went ahead and created a different folder for them. *hides* It's the only folder that won't fit in with the other folders though; the regular numbered zips can all fit together in terms of numbers. Hopefully. They should be in order. (This is my first time capping for somebody else, so I'm learning as I go. I'm so sorry about that.)

As for other extras...some tv spots and trailers, which may or may not include different angles of a couple scenes, so if I see anything that may not resemble something already capped, I will be sure to cap it.

Oh, I definitely agree about gag reels. Especially with that cast, it would've been awesome. YouTube has one for X2 at least, and there's some cute parts. Hard to tell who's who at times, due to size, but at least one exists.

I'll have to look up the gag reel on YouTube, because gag reels are win and I need some more win in my life. Maybe I'll rent the DVD's sometime, just to see if there's cool special features on there.

Uh, there's a cute Spider-Man/X1 gag here (I love Cyclops' reaction.), and X2 here. Bad quality, which bites, but...eh, at least it's somewhat clear what's going on. (Though I can't figure out who's doing the jig in Cerebro.)

You know, I've never watched most of the extras of my DVDs? Sad, really. The X2 has lots of interesting sounding ones, and X1 is the one with Hugh's screentest. (Regular X1, not X1.5. Not clue what extras 1.5 has. It'd be nice if they had a photo gallery with some good promo shots in it, but I doubt it.)

Aw, it's so funny to watch them run around in their little leather catsuits. Almost like normal people. ;) And I love that X2 gag reel. Too bad about the shitty quality, but it's still funny. "You are such a man." Fabulous.

Unfortunately, I don't have any of the DVDs, but if I ever get my hands on them, I'm watching all of the extras for any information I may be able to glean that'll help my Rogan obsession. Or at least see some fun stuff.
